The promised land?
Article Abstract:
United Kingdom individual savings accounts (Isas) have been promoted by building societies and banks, which seek to replace business lost with the end of tax-exempt special savings accounts (Tessas). Isas may be attractive to inexperienced investors, but there is a case for waiting before taking a decision, in order not to limit investment options. New products will be issued, and the terms for later products may be more attractive than for the earlier offerings.
