The school of hard knocks
Article Abstract:
Different investors have different requirements from the market for traded options. Institutional investors tend to use them to cut risk levels by protecting profits. Investors should seek to understand volatility. Timing is importance, since options which have a short life left offer less opportunity for investors to make a profit through making correct forecasts. Investors should not commit over 10% of speculative capital on a single trade, in order to protect their financial survival.
