One for all?
Article Abstract:
Investors may have been buying United Kingdom personal equity plans (Peps) over several years and have a range of funds with different managers. There may be a case for rationalising these holdings prior to the advent of individual savings accounts (Isas). Investors who have used their annual Pep allowance with one manager may have to transfer all or none of it, while there is greater freedom for investors using a number of fund managers.

Dining out
Article Abstract:
There are 13 investment trusts and 133 unit trusts based on European stock markets on offer to United Kingdom investors using personal equity plans (Peps). Currency risk has been abolished in countries taking part in European monetary union, and mergers and acquisitions are helping to boost European stock prices. Cost cutting and low interest rates are also European trends that help to boost stock prices. There are risks of slower growth in 1999, with slower exports, and low inflation could affect corporate growth.
