The trust concept: research issues fopr channels of distribution
Article Abstract:
Trust is essential in social relationships. Some analysts contend that as an important concept in exchange relationships, trust should be of particular significance in channels of distribution. Its characteristics of riskiness, uniqueness and intangibility as a value is investigated with regard to its relation to other transactional properties. A different perspective for viewing trust as a marketing construct could lead to challenges conclusions for researchers.

USDA abandons three contentious issues in proposed organic standards
Article Abstract:
The Dept of Agriculture withdrew its proposal to include products of genetic engineering, irradiation and municipal sewage sludge from the national organic standards following the barrage of criticisms it elicited from the public. Commenters say that the proposal could undermine consumers' confidence on organic products. The agency has announced plans to revise the standards in response to the demands of commenters.
