Techno thrills
Article Abstract:
Investors' negative view of technology stocks between July and October 1998 was mainly sentiment driven, according to analysts. The banking sector, which was affected by the world economic crisis, was expected to cut technology spending, but although thousands of jobs have been cut, technology investment continues. Henderson Technology Investment Trust is managed by Brian Ashford-Russell, specializing in technology stocks. The fund has raised its holdings in cyclical stocks, including computing, components and semiconductors, since April, and expects those areas to benefit from any increase in capital spending plans.
