Two digits to digitalisation
Article Abstract:
The internet and digital technology are seen as capable of making major changes, and companies are likely to seek to strengthen and refresh their core businesses by using the internet. Much of national wealth creation will still be linked to physical goods, due to physical needs and desires, despite the growth of electronic commerce. PhotoMe International is a company that is investing heavily in internet connections, and the company's stock price has risen. The company has also carried out a write-down to cover depreciation on old photo booths.

The new gold rush
Article Abstract:
Technology shares became popular in the US in 1995, and companies involved in the Internet or computers saw rise in their share prices, while trading volumes also increased. The number of Internet users is increasing rapidly, but investors may find it difficult to assess which technology companies are likely to perform well. Many of these companies have yet to be profitable, so assessment of past performance cannot always be carried out. These stocks are not likely to perform as spectacularly in 1996 as they have in 1995.
