UK: DAVIS WANTS TO INSTIL PRIDE IN HIS MANAGERS
Article Abstract:
The new chief executive elect of UK supermarket chain J Sainsbury's, Peter Davis, wants to instil a sense of pride in his store managers. He plans to "lead from the front" to make his staff proud, rather than embarrassed, of the fact they work for Sainsbury's. He concedes he has a steep learning curve as it is fourteen years since he was linked with Sainsbury's but he feels confident he can raise the supermarket's profile again.
