Uncertain times

Article Abstract:

After the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks, 2001, the aftermath was not unlike the one occurring after Iraq's invasion of Kuwait. When it became clear that the U. S. would win Desert Storm, public confidence recovered, and so did the economy, but this time it may not be so because even before September 11, we had the the dot.com bust and consumers' loss of spending money.
