Unit trusts from top to bottom
Article Abstract:
Equity investments tend to involve periods of 20 years or more, and there are few managers of British unit trusts who have performed well over 20 years, and only focusing on five-year tables may be meaningless. This can be shown by analysing 63 British equity funds with 20-year records. Funds that may not appear to perform well over five years can perform well over longer periods, while poor performers over the long term can be top performers over five years.
