Article Abstract:
The Benelux countries, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Portugal and Spain were all able to sustain economic growth in 1994. Sweden, however, experienced a slow down in economic recovery during the same period. The Belgian stock market was slightly affected by the unstable bond market in 1994 while Denamrk also also experienced a gradual decline in the stock market. Norway was the only one able to experience an upsurge in stock investments.

Key members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development has shown mixed results in the economic sector. Economic and employment growth in both the US and UK remain strong despite potential price and cost pressures. European economies are characterized by wide production gaps, slack labor market and lack of inflationary risk. Finally, the economies of Canada and Japan are starting to rise from economic slowdowns.
