Walking with dinosaurs
Article Abstract:
International general investment trusts can offer flexibility to investors, and many such trusts were originally specialist trusts. They include Alliance Trust, which grew from the Oregon and Washington. Investment trusts are closed end funds so flows of money out of trusts and into them can be predicted. These types of trust can transfer holdings within particular geographical areas, or change the geographical distribution in line with changes in the market and economy. Investment trusts are also able to borrow.
