Wawa Food Markets (Wawa) adopted a customer-focused quality strategy to enhance its competitiveness and improve its ability to meet future challenges. The company's strategy covers five primary areas: strategic planning, team projects, employee education and training, supplier alliances and customer information. Company officials believe that this new strategy is responsible for the increased profits and significant time savings being enjoyed by Wawa today.
