The Arthur Page Society runs as a 501(c)(3) epublic charityE, which allows companies to make tax deductible contributions to it. Its annual expenses in 2001 amounted to $543,393 and on Dec. 31, 2001 its cash balance stood at $711,744, which according to a tax consultant, are way beyond the norm for charities.
