Welsh renaissance
Article Abstract:
Cardiff in South East Whales is growing and is aiming to become a leading financial services area in the United Kingdom. Improvements include the South Glamorgan County Council's 200 million pounds sterling investments in new roads, in a new County Hall, and in improvements to the Atlantic Wharf area. Several major financial services companies, including Midland Bank PLC, Chartered Trust, Chemical Bank AG, 3i Group PLC, and N.M. Rothschild Ltd, have also moved into the Cardiff area. The financial companies are attracted to the area because it is around 75% cheaper than London, and Wales is attracting 20% of all investments coming into the United Kingdom.
