A unified single-event microkinetic model for alkane hydroconversion in different aggregation states on Pt/H-USY-zeolites
Article Abstract:
The effect of the density of the bulk hydrocarbon phase on the physisorption as well as on the protonation steps for the catalytic hydroconversion of hydrocarbons on Pt/H-US-Y bifunctional zeolite catalysts is studied. It is found that as a result of the excess physisorption and protonation properties, the lightest hydrocarbons in mixtures are more competitive at dense phase conditions and their conversion is enhanced compared to low-density conditions.

DFT investigation of alkoxide vs alkylammonium formation in amine-substituted zeolites
Article Abstract:
Density functional theory cluster calculations were used to describe bifunctional acid-base properties of amine-substituted zeolites containing a Bronsted acid site. A comparison is made between the alkoxide formation in zeolites containing only oxygen bridges and alkylammonium formation on the bridging NH groups in amine-functionalized zeolites for various guest species, such as methanol, ethene, and chloromethane.

Tracer chromatographic study of pore and pore mouth adsorption of linear and monobranched alkanes on ZSM-22 zeolite
Article Abstract:
The adsorption equilibria of a series of n-alkanes and 2-methyl- and 3-methyl-branched alkanes in the C5-C9 range on ZSM-22 zeolite samples were determined using the tracer chromatographic technique at temperatures between 343 and 623 K. The adsorption of linear alkanes is strongly affected by the blocking of the pores, whereas the adsorption of monobranched alkanes is altered very little.
