Adsorption of an O atom on the Cu (311) step defective surface
Article Abstract:
In the investigation done, the 5-MP method is used to examine the characteristics of the O-Cu (311) stepped surface system is presented. An interesting competition between high coordinated adsorption sites is observed and the experimental argument that there are two types of adsorption sites for an O atom on the Cu (311) surface is confirmed by the calculation.

Theoretical study of atomic oxygen adsorption on the chlorine-modified Ag(111) surface
Article Abstract:
The oxygen adsorption on the clean and chlorine-preadsorbed silver surface is examined. An explanation is given on the role of the chlorine in the diffusion of surface oxygen into the subsurface.
