Adsorption on carbon nanotubes studied using polarization-modulated infrared reflection-absorption spectroscopy
Article Abstract:
The effects of exposing the sample in situ to atomic H (orD) and to dimethly methylphosphonate [DMMP, (CH3O)2(CH3)P=O] were studied using polarization modulated infrared reflection-absorption spectroscopy. The result reveals that varying the DMMP coverage by changing the pressure causes changes in the spectrum that can be related to the strength of the DMMP/SWNT (single wall carbon nanotubes) interaction.

Chemical activation of single walled carbon nanotubes for hydrogen adsorption
Article Abstract:
The effects of the nanotube diameter distribution and packing on hydrogen uptake are explained. The nanotube-hydrogen interaction potential is varied to repeat the effect of chemical activation.

Transformation kinetics on mechanical alloying
Article Abstract:
A model, which describes the local mechanism of mechanical alloying, is developed. A modification is proposed on the global kinetic law, which was introduced earlier.
