Al content dependent hydrothermal stability of directly synthesized aluminosilicate MCM-41
Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to investigate the aluminosilicate MCM-41 materials with Si/Al ratio between 10 and 50 were prepared namely, direct mixed-gel synthesis, and their hydrothermal stability in boiling water using a variety of techniques including powder XRD, N2 sorption studies, and elemental analysis. It is revealed that Al incorporated on the surface/near surface region of the pore walls provide the greatest protection.

Mesostructured hollow spheres of graphitic N-doped carbon nanocast from spherical mesoporous silica
Article Abstract:
Mesostructured hollow spheres of graphitic N-doped carbon (CNx) materials may be noncast from solid core mesoporous silica SBA-15 spheres through a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) route. The hollow spheres are generated when the SBA-15 silica/carbon composite obtained after CVD is subjected to silica etching in hydrofluoric (HF) acid.

Formation of molecularly ordered layer mesoporous silica via phase transformation of silicate-surfactant composites
Article Abstract:
The process of preparing molecularly ordered layered silicate-surfactant mesophases from the stepwise phase transformation of surfactant-silicate composites is described. The resulted calcined molecularly ordered layered mesoporous silica exhibit structurally well-ordered domains with relatively high surface area and pore volume.
