An optimized procedure for the synthesis of AISBA-15 with large pore diameter and high aluminum content
Article Abstract:
An optimized procedure for the synthesis of high Al content SBA-15 series of molecular sieves, called AlSBA- 15 with different n(sub Si)/ n(sub Al) ratio, by simply adjustment of the molar water to hydrochloric acid (nH2O/nHCl) ratio. Investigation of different Al source to study the effect of nature of Al source in the AlSBA-15 synthesis revealed aluminum isopropoxide as the source, which enhance the amount of Al incorporation, location and coordination in the SBA-15 silica walls.

Adsorption of lyzozyme over mesoporous molecular sieves MCM-41 and SBA-15: influence of pH and aluminum incorporation
Article Abstract:
The adsorption of lysozyme (Lz) over the mesoporous molecular sieves such as MCM-41, AIMCM-41, SBA-15 and AISBA-15 materials with different pore diameters is studied from lysozyme solutions with different pH. Diffuse reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectra of the adsorbed lysozyme confirm that the adsorption of the enzyme did not result in denaturation of Lz.

Adsorption of cytochrome C on new mesoporous carbon molecular sieves
Article Abstract:
Mesoporous carbons with tunable pore diameters from 3 to 6.5 nm are prepared by using SBA-15 silica with various pore diameters as template. The novel materials are studied in the adsorption of horse heart cytochrome c from solutions with different pH.
