Carbon-nanotube-enhanced direct electron-transfer reactivity of hemoglobin immobilized on polyurethane elastomer film
Article Abstract:
The direct electron-transfer reactivity of immobilized hemoglobin (Hb) is investigated on a polyurethane elastomer (PUE) film for biosensor designs. Electrochemical and spectroscopic measurements give evidence that the multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) increased the protein-PUE interaction, varied polymer morphology, and improved the permeability and the conductivity of the PUE film.

Analysis of multiple H-bond interactions in self-assembly between polyurethane with pendent carboxyl and poly(4-vinylpyridine)
Article Abstract:
A combination of FTIR and molecular simulations were used to study the H-bond interactions between polyurethane with pendent carboxyl (PUc) and poly(4-vinylpyridine) (P4VP). The pyridyl N from P4VP was found to form two types of H-bond, while the formation of type I (COOH...P4VP) bond was 95.87%, thus proving it to be the primary force for the assembly between PUc and P4VP.

NMR self-diffusion and viscosity of polyurethane formulations for rocket propellants
Article Abstract:
Diffusion coefficients and viscosity in three different binary poly(urethane) binder formulations for solid rocket propellants are measured. The Fourier transform pulse gradient spin-echo (FT-PGSE) NMR method is used for this purpose.
