Comparative study of conducting polymers by the ESCR model
Article Abstract:
Electrochemically generated films of poly (1-methylpyrroole), polythiophene, poly (3-methlythiophene), polyaniline and polymethylaniline are studied by potential steps in lithium perchlorate/acetonitrile solutions following the hypothesis of electrochemically stimulated confirmational relaxations model (ESCRM). The results states that the comparative treatment of different polymers by ESCRM allows to establish quantitative structural and thermodynamic magnitudes related to electrochemical processes.

Potentiostatic oxidation of polyaniline under conformational relaxation control: experimental and theoretical study
Article Abstract:
The electrochemically stimulated conformational relaxation (ESCR) model was applied to the chronoamperometric behavior of polyaniline in acetonitrile, which is an aprotic media where a preponderant interchange of anions takes place during oxidation and reduction process. The experimental results proved that, under these conditions, each chronoamperogram performed after polarization at a high cathodic potential has a similar nucleation shape with a maximum, as predicted by the ESCR model.

Cation electrochemical stability in chloroaluminate ionic liquids
Article Abstract:
The electrochemical stability of 10 organic cations, which can be used in ionic liquids, was investigated as solutes in acetonitrile. The stability of three of the salts, BenMe2EtNcl (salt III), 1-butyl-2-methyl pyrrolidium chloride salt (salt VI), and its structural isomer, BuMe2ProNCl (salt VII) were compared in chloroaluminate ionic liquids (ILs).
