A study of mechano-catalysts for overall water splitting
Article Abstract:
It has been possible to investigate mechano-catalytic overall water splitting on Cu2O, NiO and C3O4 in order to show the reaction mechanism. There was found to be a reduction process of Cu2O into metallic Cu during mechano-catalytic overall water splitting.

Conduction and valence band positions of Ta2O5, TaON, and Ta3N5 by UPS and electrochemical methods
Article Abstract:
The conduction and valence band edges for electronic band gaps and Fermi levels are determined for Ta2O5, TaON, and Ta3N5 by ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS) and electrochemical analyses. The result conclude that TaON and Ta3N5 are promixing catalysts for the reduction and oxidation of water using visible light in the range lambda < 520 nm and lambda <600 nm, respectively.

Electrochemical behavior of thin Ta3N5 semiconductor film
Article Abstract:
Tantalum nitride (Ta3N5) thin films are investigated as a visible light-driven photoelectrode material. Ta3N5 thin film is demonstrated to function as a stable electrode for generating electric current under visible light through sustained photoinduced redox cycling on the Ta3N5 electrode in aqueous Fe(CN) (sub 6)(super 3-)/Fe(CN)(sub 6)(super 4-) solutions.
