Control of adhesion and surface forces via potential-dependent adsorption of pyridine
Article Abstract:
The potential dependence of the double-layer interactions and adhesive forces between a gold electrode and a mica surface for different pyridine concentrations was measured using the electrochemical surface forces apparatus. It was observed that gold-mica interactions were strongly affected by the presence of small concentrations of pyridine.

A comparative investigation of the adsorption of (super 13)C(super 16)O + (super 12)C(super 16)O and (super 13)C(super 18)O + (super 12)C(super 16)O mixtures on silica supported Pt is conducted. The origin of the CO adsorption modes is discussed.
