Controlled organization of Au colloids into linear assemblies
Article Abstract:
A very simple approach form preparing Au liner aggregates by end on linking of individual Au colloidal particles is demonstrated. It concluded that the factor for formation of Au linear assemblies is believed to be a subtle balance between the attractive force, provided by lysine molecules, working against the electrostatic repulsion among Au colloid surfaces bearing like charges.

Deprotonation-driven phase transformations in terepthalic acid self-assembly on Cu(100)
Article Abstract:
Self-assembled terephthalic acid adlayers on a Cu(100) surface is studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, near-edge X-ray absorption fine structure, and scanning tunneling microscopy in the temperature range 190-400K under ultrahigh vacuum conditions. Three distinct well-ordered phases observed evolving with increasing temperature is explained.

Study of cobalt-filled carbon nanoflasks
Article Abstract:
A fullerene-type carbon, named carbon nanoflasks, is described, using Co (CO)(sub 3)NO, a special precursor, in the synthesis. An explanation of the formation of the carbon nanaoflasks is proposed.
