Density functional study of the interfacial electron transfer pathway for monolayer-adsorbed InN on the TiO (sub 2) anatase (101) surface
Article Abstract:
An estimation of the adsorption energies and structures of monolayer-adsorbed InN on the TiO(sub 2) anatase(101) surface and the related electronic properties is perfomed to investigate the probable structural modes for initial photoexcitation within the UV/vis adsorption area. The observations show that the (O(sub cn2))(sub 2)-InN-Ti(sub cn5) configuration of the monolayer adsorbed InN on the TiO(sub 2) anatase(101) surface will give a clear picture of the feasible structural mode for the electron through the InN/ TiO(sub 2) interface.

Order parameters and orientation distributions of solution adsorbed and microcontact printed cytochrome c protein films on glass and ITO
Article Abstract:
The structure of solution adsorbed and microcontact printed ([mu]CP) cytochrome c (cyt c) films on glass and indium tin oxide (ITO) was investigated using attenuated total reflectance (ATR) and total internal reflectance fluorescence (TIFR). Physically possible order parameters were obtained for the heme group in both solution adsorbed and [mu]CP films, but not for the electrostatic dipole moment of the protein.

Electron and hole transfer from indium phosphide quantum dots
Article Abstract:
The electron and hole transfer from photoexcited InP quantum dots (QDs) to titanium dioxide and to N,N,N',N'-tetramethyl-p-phenylenediamine (TMPD) are examined. TMPD effectively scavenges the photogenerated hole in InP quenching the QD luminescence.
