Diffusion and structure of water in polymers containing n-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone
Article Abstract:
Fourier transform infrared in attenuated total reflection (ATR) and transmission mode is conducted to study the diffusion and structure of water in poly(N-vinly-2-pyrrolidone)(PVP) and its copolymers. It is demonstrated that, during the water absorption process, type II water between 3300 and 3500 [cm.sup.-1] is first formed followed by the type I water (less than 3300 [cm.sup.-1] and type III water between 3800 and 3500 [cm.sup.-1]).

Ab initio calculation of solid-state NMR spectra for different triazine and heptazine based structure proposals of g-[C.sub.3][N.sub.4]
Article Abstract:
The structure and NMR parameters of a large number of triazine and heptazine based structure proposals for g-[C.sub.3][N.sub.4] in different condensation states are analyzed. The results have shown the high potential of solid-state NMR for the characterization of layered C/N species for amorphous systems.
