Diffusion of transient radicals in alcohols and cyclohexane from ambient to supercritical conditions studied by the transient grating method
Article Abstract:
The translational diffusion coefficients of ketyl radicals produced by a hydrogen abstraction reaction in ethanol, methanol, and cyclohexane are investigated by the transient grating (TG) method, from liquid phase to the medium-density region in wide temperature ranges. It is found that the diffusion coefficient of the radical is smaller than that of a stable molecule with a similar size even under supercritical conditions.

Cyclohexane dehydrogenation and H2 adsorption on Pt particles on ZnO(0001)-O
Article Abstract:
The dehydrogenation of cyclohexane on Pt/ZnO(0001)-O model catalyst was studied with temperature-programmed (TPD), low-energy ion scattering, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The adsorbed c-C6D12 on this ZnO surface desorbs intact at ~220 K.
