Study of the ferroelectric liquid crystal 11EB 1 M7 by means of (super 2)H NMR
Article Abstract:
A new procedure for the synthesis of the selectively deuterium-labeled chiral liquid crystal 11EB 1 M7 is developed. A study of the structure, orientational ordering, and the dynamic behavior of 11EB 1 M7 is presented.

Dynamics of an amorphous polymer by an improved NMR approach based on the simultaneous analysis of 1H and 13(super C) relaxation times
Article Abstract:
A new approach to extract quantitative dynamic information from NMR relaxation data of amorphous polymers, consisting a simultaneous analysis of 1H and C(super 13)T(sub 1) temperature curves is presented. The findings indicate good agreement between experimental and calculated data and allowed a detailed characterization of the motions investigated.
