EUROPE/ASIA: HEUBACH REORGANISING PIGMENT PRODUCTION
Article Abstract:
Heubach of Germany has cancelled plans to expand its pigment production plant in Langelsheim, Germany. The company is to set up the additional production in Asia instead. Initially the Asian plant will produce 10,000 tonnes of iron oxide pigments per year, but it will have a capacity of 20,000 tpy. It is to be followed by further production facilities for inorganic pigments. The new plant will make also chromium oxide pigments. The plant in Langelsheim has an annual capacity of 10,000 tonnes of iron oxide pigments. Moreover, Heubach has a production plant for organic pigments in India. The Indian plant is to take over the production of Avecia in Grangemouth, Scotland.
