Effect of molecular binding to a semiconductor on metal/molecule/semiconductor junction behavior
Article Abstract:
Diodes made by evaporating Au on a monolayer of molecules that are adsorbed chemically onto GaAs, via either disulfide or dicarboxylate groups, show roughly linear but opposite dependence of their effective barrier height on the dipole moment of the molecules. This is explained by Au-molecule interactions not only with the exposed end groups of the molecule but also with its binding groups.

In Situ IR study of transient CO2 reforming of CH4 over Rh/Al2O3
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to examine the mechanism of the CO2-CH4 reaction on Rh by in situ infrared (IR) spectroscopy coupled with pulse and step transient techniques. In situ infrared investigation, the findings reveal that the CO2-CH4 reaction produced linear CO as a major adsorbate on Rh/Al2O3 in a temperature range of 673-873 K.
