Effect of the Si/AI Ratio on the Local Structure of V oxide/ZSM-5 Catalysts Prepared by solid-state reaction and their photocatalytic reactivity for the decomposition of NO in the absence and presence of propane
Article Abstract:
The local structure of V oxide/ZSM-5 catalysts prepared by the solid-state reaction of the ZSm-5 zeolites having different Si/AI ratios by means of in situ photoluminescence spectroscopy in combination with other spectroscopy techniques such as UV-Vis, solid-state NMR, and ESR is investigated. The vanadyl ions are present as tetrahedrally coordinated V(super 5+) species bonded to terminal Si-OH groups and square pyramidally coordinated VO (super 2+) species at the zeolite cationic sites for zeolites having a low Si/AI ratio is discovered.

Characterization of the local structures of Ti-MCM-41 and their photocatalytic reactivity for the decomposition of NO into N(sub 2) and O(sub 2)
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to characterize the Ti-MCM-41 mesoporous molecular strains using X-ray absorption near-edge structure and extended X-ray absorption fine structure, UV-vis, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The results found that an increase in the Ti content caused the structure of the Ti-oxides in Ti-MCM-41 to change from an isolated tetrahedral coordination to adjacent Ti-oxide species with Ti(super 4+) of tetrahedral coordination.

In situ investigation of the photo catalytic decomposition of NO on the Ti-HMS under flows and closed reaction systems
Article Abstract:
The photocatalytic decomposition of NO on various Ti-HMS photocatalysts was carried out both under closed and flow conditions. The results clearly suggested that the performance of the titanium oxide species was greatly modified by their incorporation into the framework of HMS, being attributed to the changes in the coordination and reaction environment.
