Effect of the nature of the counterion on the properties of anionic surfactants. 1.Cmc, ionization degree at the Cmc and aggregation number of micelles of sodium, cesium, tetramethylammonium, tetraethylammonium, tetrapropylammonium, and tetrabutylammonium dodecyl sulfates.
Article Abstract:
The surfactants cesium, tetramethylammonium, tetraethylammonium, tetrapropylammonium and tetrabutylammonium dodecyl sulfates (CsDS, TMADS, TEADS, TPADS, and TBADS) are synthesized by ion exchange. The micelle ionization degree is observed to be the largest for SDS (sodium dodecyl sulfate) and the smallest for TBADS.

Investigation on interaction between sodium dodecyl sulfate and polyacrylamide by electron spin resonance and ultraviolet spectrum
Article Abstract:
The interaction between sodium dodecyl sulfate and polyacrylamide was studied by electron spin resonance (ESR) and UV methods. The result shows that the micropolarity of the solution decreases with increasing sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) concentration.
