Electrochemistry of nickel and copper beta-octahalogeno-meso-tetraarylporphyrins. Evidence for important role played by saddling-induced metal[d(sub x(super 2)-y(super 2)]-porphyrin ("a(sub 2u)") orbital interactions
Article Abstract:
An electrochemical study of substituent effects in Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of a series of beta-octahalogeno-meso-tetrakis is presented. The study of substituent effects in saddled Ni and Cu porphyrins has revealed a variety of interesting differences between the two families of compounds.

Experimental and theoretical studies of the multistability in the electroreduction of the nickel(II)-N(sub 3)(super -) complexes at a streaming mercury electrode
Article Abstract:
An analogous phenomenon for the azide complexes for nickel (II) is described. The thermodynamic and kinetic parameters of the studied redox system are determined by a comparison of the experimental and theoretical dependencies.
