Electron injection dynamics of Ru polypyridyl complexes on SnO2 nanocrystalline thin films
Article Abstract:
A study investigates the electron-transfer dynamics from Ru(dcbpy)(sub 2)-(X)(sub 2) complexes (dcbpy = 4,4'-dicarboxy-2,2'bipyridine, X2 = SCN(super -), 2CN(super -), and dcbpy, referenced as RuN3, Ru 505, and Ru470, respectively) to nanocrystalline SnO2 films by ultrafast infrared spectroscopy. Details of the possible reason for the different injection dynamics in these dyes and under different environments are discussed.

Parameters affecting electron injection dynamics from ruthenium dyes to titanium dioxide nanocrystalline thin films
Article Abstract:
Parameters that affect electron injection rate from Ru N3 and related dyes to TiO2 nanocrystalline thin films are examined. Under different experimental conditions, the relative amplitude and rate of slow components changes but the rate of the fast component shows no noticeable variations, probably due to limited time resolution of the measurement.

Electron injection dynamics from Ru polypyridyl complexes to ZnO nanocrystalline thin films
Article Abstract:
Electron injection kinetics from RuN3 and N719 to ZnO is investigated by monitoring the broad mid-IR absorption signal of injected electrons. A two-state injection model provides an adequate explanation of the biphasic injection dynamics and the dependence on excitation wavelength.
