Novel photocatalysts for the decomposition of organic dyes based on metal-organic framework compounds
Article Abstract:
The synthesis and structure of three novel coordination polymers are explored by using hydrothermal methods. The samples are characterized by using a variety of techniques and all the compounds have appeared to be active for the photocatalytic decomposition of common organic dyes used in textile industries.

Comparative study on polymer light-emitting devices based on blends of polyfluorene and 4,7-di-2-thienyl-2,1,3-benzothiadiazole with devices based on copolymer of the same composition
Article Abstract:
The synthesis of a small molecule 4,7-di-2-thienyl-2,1,3-benzothiadiazole (DBT) dye is carried out which is further blended into blue-emitting polyfluorene as a host. The role of intra-and interpolymer chain interaction and energy transfer in the polymer light emitting devices are discussed.
