Excitation dynamics in anisotropic nanostructures of star-shaped CdS
Article Abstract:
The photophysical properties of the newly synthesized starlike CdS are investigated, which was prepared from the lyotropic triblock copolymer solution. It is concluded that the starlike CdS shows the photogenerated charge carriers' diffusion from the tip edge of the conical nanolobes to the thicker inner part including the core, likely as the light-harvesting system of the organic dendrimer.

Spectroscopic study of electronic states in an ensemble of close-packed CdSe nanocrystals
Article Abstract:
The optical properties of close-packed and isolated ultrasmall CdSe nano-crystals using various spectroscopic techniques have been investigated. The electroabsorption technique demonstrates collective states in close-packed ensembles can collapse, and primary localization of electronics states can be restored under strong electric fields.

Ligand effects on optical properties of CdSe nanocrystals
Article Abstract:
A study reports the effects of various organic and inorganic ligands on optical properties of CdSe nanocrystals (NCs) by changes in their photoluminescence and absorbance spectra. The complex of trioctylphosphine with Se atoms on the surface of CdSe NCs was found to be responsible for the trap emission band.
