Experimental and theoretical surface enhanced Raman scattering study of 2-amino-methylbenzothiazole adsorbed on colloidal silver particles
Article Abstract:
The adsorption of 2-amino-4-methylbenzothiazolr (2-AMBT) on colloidal silver particles is investigated using surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) study. The studies revealed that in the surface adsorbed state the 2-AMBT molecules are adsorbed on the silver surface through both the nitrogen atom (N(sub 9) and N(sub 10)) and are oriented with the molecularplane almost vertical to the surface.

Anomalous XANES spectra of octadecanethiol adsorbed on Ag(111)
Article Abstract:
The sulphur K-edge X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) spectra of self-assembled monolayers for a series of n-alkanethiols adsorbed on Ag(111) is studied. The effects of chain length and incidence angle on the XANES spectra are investigated.
