Facile and large-scale production of ZnO/Zn-Al layered double hydroxide hierarchical heterostructures
Article Abstract:
A new kind of ZnO-based heterostructure, that is, ZnO/Zn-Al layered double hydroxide (LDH) hierarchical architecture, on an Al substrate through a facile solution phase process is successfully synthesized. The firecracker-like heterostructures consist of uniform ZnO nanorods orderly standing at the edges of two-dimensional surfaces of Zn-Al LDH nanoplatelets.

Local atomic structure of partially ordered NiMn in NiMn/NiFe exchange coupled layers: 1. XAFS measurements and structural refinement
Article Abstract:
The local atomic structure of the Mn in NiMn/NiFe exchange coupled films was investigated using Mn K-edge extended X-ray adsorption fine structure (EXAFS) measurements. The result reveals that the films are inhomogeneous or heterogeneous on atomic tonanometer length scales.
