Generation and detection of single metal nanoparticles using scanning electrochemical microscopy techniques
Article Abstract:
The generation and detection of a single metal nanoparticle (MNP) on a conductive carbon support for testing as an electrocatalyst are described using electrochemical methods. The results have shown that chemisorbed Pt particles displayed a stronger adhesion on surface-modified carbon fiber electrodes (CFEs) and better mechanical stability during proton reduction than MNPs electrodeposited directly on the CFE.

Investigation of facilitated ion-transfer reactions at high driving force by scanning electrochemical microscopy
Article Abstract:
The dynamics of facilitated ion-transfer (FIT) interactions at high driving force across the water/1,2-dichloroethane (W/DCE) network is examined by scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM). These transfers are selected as ideal models due to their significant potential range that can be controlled externally.
