Effect of oxygen adsorption on the chiral Pt{531} surface
Article Abstract:
The study of the adsorption of oxygen on the chiral Pt{531} is presented by high-resolution X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (HRXPS) and low energy electron diffraction (LEED). It is concluded that after the surface is annealed in oxygen (3*10(super -1) mbar), three O 1s peaks are observed in XPS.

Surface spectroscopy of room-temperature ionic liquids on a platinum electrode: A sum frequency generation study
Article Abstract:
Sum frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy (SFG) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) measurements are conducted on the ionic liquid/platinum electrode system. The SFG spectra indicate that the cation changes orientation as the electrode potential is changed within the double-layer region.
