Influence of metal ions on the charge recombination processes during TiO2 photocatalytic one-electron oxidation reactions
Article Abstract:
The influence of several salts, such as sodium percholrate (NaC1O4), lithium perchlorate (LiC1O4), and magnesium perchlorate (Mg(C1O4)2), on the charge transfer and recombination processes during the TiO2 photocatalytic one-electron oxidation reactions is investigated. The adsorption dynamics of substrates (S), such as MtSt and StM, and metal ions on the TiO2 surface is important for the back electron transfer (BET) process between S(super .+) and the photogenerated electrons in the TiO2 particles.

Quantitative study of electron losses in nanoporous anatase using transient absorption spectroscopy
Article Abstract:
The aim of the study is to elucidate electron migration in dye-sensitized nanoporous anatase TiO2, time-of-flight short-circuit photocurrent and transient absorption spectra between 500 and 2000 nm. The study concluded that electrons in TiO2 dominate the transient absorption between 900 and 1100 nm, whereas at wavelengths longer than 1100 nm absorption by electrons in the SnO2:F substrate prevails.
