Influence of secondary structure on electronic energy relaxation in adenine homopolymers
Article Abstract:
Electronic energy relaxation in the adenine homopolymers poly(A) and poly(dA) as well as in the adenine mononucleotide, are studied by the femtosecond transient absorption technique and by steady-state absorption and emission spectroscopies in aqueous solution. Femtosecond pump-probe spectroscopy is a conformationally sensitive technique for studying nucleic acids.

Time-resolved emission spectra of Fluoroprobe and Maleimido-Fluoroprobe before, during, and after sudden vitrification of radiation-polymerized methyl
Article Abstract:
The changes that occur in the charge-transfer (CT) emission from the highly fluorescent probe molecule Fluoroprobe (FP) and its fluorogenic derivative Maleimido-Fluoroprobe (MFP) during the radiation-induced polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) is reported.
