Infrared reflection adsorption spectroscopic study on the rotational isomerism of methyl propyl ether on Cu(110) and Ag(110)
Article Abstract:
Infrared reflection adsorption (IRA) spectra were measured for methyl propyl ether (MPE) absorbed on Cu(110) and Ag(110) at 80 K. The IRA spectra of MPE on the substrates at sub-monolayer and full monolayer coverages exhibit simple spectral features, indicating that each adsorbate exists in a rotational isomeric form with a specific orientation relative to the substrate surface.

Methylation of alkenes and methylbenzenes by dimethyl ether or methanol on acidic zeolotes
Article Abstract:
The methylation of propane and toluene with dimethyl ether is studied using experimental and theoretical methods and the results are compared with results obtained for methylation with methanol. The results indicate that the nature of the methylation reaction mechanisms is quite similar for methylation agents.

Infrared reflection absorption (IRA) spectra were measured for methyl ethyl ether (MEE) adsorbed on Ag- (110) and Cu (110) at 80 K. The IRA spectral measurement proved that MEE absorbs molecularly on Ag- (110) and Cu (110) at submonolayer coverages, forming the T form on Ag- (110) and the G form on Cu (110).
