Interfacial electron transfer between the photoexcited porphyrin molecule and TiO2 nanoparticles: Effect of catecholate binding
Article Abstract:
The interfacial electron transfer (ET) dynamics of 5,10,15-trisphenyl-20-(3,4-dihydroxybenzene) porphyrin (TPP-cat) adsorbed on TiO2 nanoparticles are analyzed by using femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy in the visible and near-infrared (IR) region exciting at 400 and 800 nm. The reaction path in the TPP-cat/TiO2 system after exciting with both 400 and 800 nm laser light is discussed and the ET dynamics are compared by exciting at both wavelengths.

Understanding intramolecular electron transfer in ferredoxin: A molecular dynamics study
Article Abstract:
The intramolecular electron transfer in the [4Fe-4S] ferredoxins, which are a class of iron-sulfur electron-tranfer proteins found in numerous electron transport chains, including the photosynthetic pathway is investigated. The results presented demonstrate that the electron-transfer properties of Ca Fd could be calculated by using MD simulations.

The nature of electron migration in dye-sensitized nanostructured TiO2
Article Abstract:
The relationship between the morphology of nanostructured anatase TiO2 films and electron migration in these electrodes is investigated. Photocurrent dynamics is used to elucidate electron transport in nanostructured TiO2 networks.
