Large-scale synthesis of tellurium nanoribbons in tetraethylene pentamine aqueous solution and the stability of tellurium nanoribbons to ethanol and water
Article Abstract:
Superlong single crystal tellurium nanoribbons with a width of 200-300 nm and length up to several hundred micrometers are synthesized in tetraethylene pentamine aqueous solution at 80 degree centigrade. The erosion phenomenon is not identified and it is suggested that tellurium nanoribbons synthesized by other chemical methods can be not stable in solution system and their storage after laboratory synthesis requires special attention.

Hydrogen-bonded clusters on the vapor/ethanol-aqueous-solution interface
Article Abstract:
A detailed study of the structure of the vapor/ethanol-aqueous-solution interface is done, focusing on, the intermolecular hydrogen bond (HB) and molecular clusters by HBs. It is observed that a monolayer of adsorbed ethanol can be divided into two parts where the ethanol molecules prefer to form HB bond with each other and ethanol molecules prefer to form HBs with the water molecules.

Molecular dynamics simulations of the liquid/vapor interface of aqueous ethanol solutions as a function of concentration
Article Abstract:
The structural and thermodynamic properties of the liquid/vapor interface of aqueous ethanol solutions are studied. Molecular dynamics computer simulations are used for this purpose and it is found that the calculated equilibrium free energy profile exhibits a barrier to solvation that is considerably smaller than that predicted by the resistance model for mass accommodation.
