Liquid-phase synthesis of EuS nanocrystals and their physical properties
Article Abstract:
A novel method is reported that is used to prepare EuS nanocrystals with the help of gaseous hydrogen sulfide in liquid ammonia. The physical properties of the EuS nanocrystals are discussed and it is found that the Curie point of EuS nanocrystals (16.6 K) was the same as that of the corresponding bulk compound, but a decreasing of magnetic moment was found because of the specific surface condition of the nanocrystals.

Sorption of ammonia in cation-exchanged omega zeolite and gallium analogue
Article Abstract:
Alunihum and gallium isomorphs of omega zeolites in Na(super +), H(super +) and La(super 3+) cationic forms re characterized by equilibrium sorption uptakes of different probe molecules such as water, benzene and n-hexane. For NH3 sorption, Na-Al-omega offered the most homogeneous surface, whereas the other cation forms showed herteogeneous characters of the surface.

Nickel hydroxide "stacks of pancakes" obtained by the coupled effect of ammonia and template agent
Article Abstract:
The study demonstrates the effect of a homemade nickel di-dodecyl precursor and a complexing base that leads to beta-Ni-(OH)2 'stacks of pancakes' morphology. The mean diameter and thickness of the stacks are around 300 and 200 nm, respectively.
