Low-energy electron-stimulated luminescence of thin H20 and D20 layers on Pt(111)
Article Abstract:
The electron-stimulated luminescence (ESL) from amorphous solid water and crystalline ice films deposited on Pt(111) at 100 K is investigated as a function of the film thickness, incident electron energy isotopic composition, and film structure. The ESL is very sensitive to defects and structural changes in solid water, and the emission yield is significantly higher from amorphous films than from crystalline ice.

Photoluminescence spectral reliance on aggregation order of 1,1-bis(2'-thienyl)-2,3,4,5-tetraphenylsilole
Article Abstract:
Modified Curtis procedure was used to synthesize 1,1-bis(2'-thienyl)-2,3,4,5-tetraphenylsilole and photoluminescence (PL) emission of the silole showed its reliance on its aggregation order. Results suggest that crystalline films of aggregation induced emission (AIE)-active siloles are potential emissive layers for efficient blue organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) with stable color and long lifetime.

Calcium copper-titanate thin film growth: Tailoring of the operational conditions through nanocharacterization and substrate nature effects
Article Abstract:
A new approach based on a molten multicomponent precursor source was applied for the MOCVD fabrication of high quality CaCu3Ti4O12 (CCTO) thin films on various substrates. Epitaxial CCTO films were obtained on LaAlO3(100), no pure films were formed on SrTiO3(100) and the CCTO films grown on Pt/TiO2/SiO2/Si(100) were polycrystalline.
