Mediated coadsorption at the liquid-solid interface: Stabilization through hydrogen bonds
Article Abstract:
The process of mediated coadsorption of a molecular species at the liquid-solid interface is accomplished through complexation of 1,3,5-tris(4-pyridyl)-2,4,6-triazine (TPT) with a second type of molecule acting as a 'molecular glue' through hydrogen bonds. Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) is utilized to investigate the structure of the coadsorbed monolayers at the liquid-solid interface.

Solvent induced polymorphism in supramolecular 1,3,5-benzenetribenzoic acid monolayers
Article Abstract:
The two-dimensional supramolecular host structures are realized by adsorption of benzenetribenzoic acid (BTB) molecules on graphite surfaces from the liquid-solid interface. The scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) has shown that the low conformational flexibility of BTB is supportive to combat the tendency for dense packing.

Room-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy manipulation of single C 60 molecules at the liquid-solid interface: playing nanosoccer
Article Abstract:
A supramolecular, hydrogen-bound two-dimensional architecture of trimesic acid (TMA) molecules adsorbed on a graphite substrate is used as a host for the incorporation of C60 as a molecular guest. The self-assembly of the host-guest structure is studied at the liquid-solid interface by scanning tunneling microscopy (STM).
