Molecular oxygen reduction in PEM fuel cell conditions: ToF-SIMS analysis of Co-based electrocatalysts
Article Abstract:
A series of Co-based electrocatalysts are analyzed by ToF-SIMS to gain information on the number and structure of catalytic active sites in these materials. It is interpreted that whatever the Fe precursor was, the same catalytic sites (FeN(sub 2)/C and FeN(sub 4)/C, with their respective dominant ToF-SIMS signatures like FeN(sub 2)C(sub 4)(super +) and FeN(sub 4)C(sub 8)(super +) ions) were found.

Wavelength- and time-dependent two-photon photoemission spectroscopy of dye-coated silicon surface
Article Abstract:
The effect of photoexcitation of the adsorbed species on the electronic properties of the surface is investigated applying wavelength and time dependent two-photon photoemission spectroscopy. The conclusion states that photoexcitation of a small fraction of the weakly bound RB species causes a significant change in the electronic properties of the substrate.
