New rules on engagement
Article Abstract:
Consolidation of agricultural chemical companies has strongly affected the operations of farm supply dealerships. With these mergers, dealers lose continuity of their relationships with their respectives sales representatives who may have been replaced or assigned to another territory. In addition, consolidation has resulted in the reduction of the number of sales representatives, and thus, forcing them to limit the time they spend for each dealer. Faced with such dilemma, farm supply dealers have learned to plan the agenda of their sales rep meeting ahead so as to ensure that all their technical questions are answered.

Fertility first
Article Abstract:
Farm supply dealers are advised to remind their grower-customers on the harm of reducing fertility inputs in their effort to cut costs. They should explain to them that cutbacks in fertilizer will result in losses in crop productivity. In addition, reducing fertilizer inputs will prevent them from having crops that mature on schedule and are healthier. Furthermore, their crops will have less tolerance to insect, disease, weed and weather pressures.
